A journey that began in 1978 when Ramazan and Cemile Çakmak opened a small studio. Today, under the leadership of Ekin and Tuğba Çakmak, Arborra continues that work — growth for brands, right matches for makers.

Derc was founded

Ramazan & Cemile Çakmak open a studio serving local brands with print and advertising. A small room in İzmir, big care.

1990s

Brand-led growth

The agency evolved from making ads to growing brands — strategy, identity, long partnerships.

2010s

Digital generation

The second generation joined. Social, content, motion and digital production were added.

2023

Arborra was born

Derc carried 45 years of craft into a new name. Brand growth + sourcing — two clear pillars.

Today

Ekin & Tuğba Çakmak as founding partners. A six-person creative team in İzmir, working with Turkish and global brands.

Founded Derc in 1978. The father's signature: late nights at the desk for the right line for the right brand. The agency's story can't be told without him.

From art direction to client relationships, every touch at Derc was filtered through her. The mother's discipline — knowing instinctively how a brand should speak at any given moment. Still the compass of the studio.
